Hi there after reading some treads here, i think i found the place that could answer a question i have for a long time now .
The title is self explanatory, but I realy wonder why so many ppl (including me sometimes ^^) are making menu out of ul heavily modified to apear inline, instead of simple div?
None of the ppl i talk with about css/html ever was able to answer that.
I'm not against the practice, i'm just curious of the why
Thanks for those who will answer to this unneeded question )

Some "ppl" aren't worth talking to.
Seriously? No one could tell you that UL stands for unordered list and a menu is a list of links? It's plain old SEMANTIC HTML. On the other hand, DIV has no semantic meaning.
hé hé that make sense thanks

thanks for the response, another silly question I won't be wondering about .
and even if I new what UL stands for, I wasn't clever enough to think semantically, so from my neophyte point of view, it was more not that clear that using UL and tweak them was more "logical" .
and, everybody is worth talking to, even if they don't have answers to all question I could wonder about
have a nice day
