Hello everyone,

Since I am becoming quite a regular to this site I thought it was time for me to start a thread myself...

During the course of learning web development for the past few months I have come across many very useful CSS tools that have proven to be invaluable, especially things involving CSS3 such as gradients. I thought to myself - "It would be really cool if I made one of those tools that would help many people with their web development".

After some serious thinking I have finally created (what I hope to be) one of these tools which I have called www.designmycss.com.

I would really really appreciate any comments you have on my little creation good or bad and any suggestions you would like to offer.

Thank you in advance.

Hope that helps!
Pete

Nice Job Pete,
I have a couple of suggestions:
Alignment of fields, checkboxes etc in the option area, looks a little strange centered, left aligned would be better.
Add an LI styler to the List Designer so you can style each LI , bullets etc.

Hi Tony,

Thank you very much for your input.

I know what mean about the centered options it doesn't look right to me either however I tried left aligned and to be honest I thought it looked worst. Although you have given another thought of a solution which I will try shortly.

Also one question, when you mentioned the list designer were you referring the suggestion that each individual list item should have the ability to be styled separately e.g. one font colour black and another red? Or did you mean you should have the ability to style different levels of a list e.g. one with roman numerals and another with bullets?

Hope that helps!

Hi Pete,
At the moment it looks like you are styling the UL, I was thinking more of margin, background, bullets etc around the LI's.
Not each individual one, just all LI's.
for example you could do something like:

LI {
  border:solid 1px red;
  background-color: #CCC;
  margin: 3px;
}

Right I see Tony, thanks for clearing that up.

I will have go at adding this functionality hopefully within the week.

On a separate note I believe I have come up with a solution as far as the alignment goes which I will be applying to live version later. Here is a screenshot of what the options will look like:

Hope that helps!

Just to let you know I have

Just to let you know I have finished adjusting all the options alignment and they now look much better. My next job is to add extra functionality to the list designer.

Hope that helps!
