Hello!

I would like to create a custom search box that appends whatever the user puts in the field to this link:

http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=

So basically if they type GOOG and hit search, a new tab or window will open and this page will load:

http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=GOOG

What's the easiest way to be done?

I found this FORM code on another site whilst googling:

<form action=”/cgi-sys/entropysearch.cgi” target=”searchwindow”>
<input name=”query” value=”search” type=text>
<input name=”user” value=”nimlok” type=hidden>
<input name=”basehref” value=”http://nimlok-louisiana.com” type=hidden>
<input name=”template” value=default” type=hidden>
<input value=”Search” type=”submit”>
</form>

Would that be a good barebones to use to make this happen?

Thanks for any help!

Thank you! I am sorry that I put it in the wrong place.

However, I ended up finding what I was looking for. Someone can close this thread Smile
