I want to change my css from default style positioning to absolute. But IE is NOT cooperating!

I've been working on it for about 5 hours now. Maybe someone can help me out?

Here is my old html/css:

body {
	background: #ebebeb;
	font-family:Verdana, Georgia, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
	margin: 10px;
	padding: 0;
	text-align: center;
	color:#333333;
}
h2 {
	margin-bottom:20px;
}
p {
	margin-bottom:40px;
}
#container {
	margin: 0 auto;
	width: 940px;
	background-color:#eaeaea;
	text-align:left;
}
.boxcontent {
	padding: 0px;
	background: #d0c6b3;
}
#header {
	margin: 0 auto;

Oh and the most important

Oh and the most important thing that I forgot to mention:

I want the article content to be right below the body tag! For maximum seo benefit.

This is why I am having so much trouble. I cant get it into the right spot on both ie and ff.

That is a spammer and your post just happened to get hit. Not your fault. We'll have to wait for a mod to drop in and take care of it.

First you must explain why you'd want to do something like that?

If your web page is as clever as you can make it, it's probably too clever for you to debug or maintain.

I want to have the content

I want to have the content right below the body tag.

For maximum seo benefit.

I've managed to fix the majority of the problems, but now my content div is overlapping my other div just a little at the bottom... in all ie and ff browsers.

here is my latest css:

body {
	background: #ebebeb;
	font-family:Verdana, Georgia, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
	margin: 0 auto;
	padding:0;
	text-align: center;
	color:#333333;

}
h2 {
	margin-bottom:20px;
}
p {
	margin-bottom:40px;
}
#container {
	margin: 0 auto;
	width: 940px;
	background-color:#eaeaea;
	text-align:left;
}

Scholarships for Women - What You Need to Know

By: Jackie Q. Ingraham

If you are a woman who is pursuing higher education, you already know that it is not an easy road. The challenges faced by women in professional positions and in academia have always been high, and given the current economic issues, they are going to get higher. The federal loans for education have gotten cut, and state schools are seeing less support than ever. To get the education that will give you the life that you want, you are going to need to be sharp. Take some time to learn more about the different types of scholarships for women out there and what you can do to improve your chances of getting them.

First, you will find that there are college specific scholarships awarded. In many cases, these scholarships can be extended when you have been accepted to the school. They are growing rarer though, and the amounts that are being offered are less. They are often dependent on your GPA, your major and other factors. Similarly, there are many athletic scholarships out there as well, where you can get money for school through agreeing to participate in a sport at the college or university. While these scholarships can take care of an impressively high dollar amount, you will find that they are quite competitive and that there is a strong gender inequality in the way that they are presented; there are more athletic scholarships out there for men than for women.

You can also find scholarships that are tied towards academic achievement and to the major that you are choosing to pursue. These are often offered from the university or college and you should evaluate which institution will offer you scholarships that you need to attend. Some schools are substantially more generous than others, and you will find that in this case, research is key.

You should also take a look at the scholarships for women that are offered by private organizations and by corporations. These scholarships usually have a contest aspect and you may be required to write essays to and fill out extensive applications. Some of the amounts are fairly low, and some are extremely impressive. Corporations in general will also offer scholarships when they are looking to train and to retain employees and finding a position in a company that will partially or fully pay for your academic career can be one way to move forward. The military is another organization that offers a great deal of scholarship support.

If you are looking for scholarships for women, remember that you need to get online. Many scholarships will allow you to apply online and you will find that you can get leads on some fairly obscure scholarships. Remember that searching for scholarships is hard work. You may be frustrated at continually writing the same information over and over again, or you might be irritated at the long search. Handle your time and remember that you should budget some space and time to work on this. The more applications you send out, the better your chances are.

Don't forget to make the human search element a priority as well. Most colleges will have a department that organizes scholarship information, and you will find that asking around for scholarships for women can make a difference. Similarly, remember that you should also look into scholarships that apply to you regarding your race, your religion and your major as well. There are many organizations that offer scholarships based on these factors and the amounts can be quite impressive. Make sure that you make contact with organizations that might not be online.

Take some time and make sure that you consider what your options are going to be when it comes to following through. Think about applying for scholarships for women just as you would think about applying for a job. A week after the scholarship goes in, call and make sure that they do not need any more information and let them know that you look forward to hearing from them. If you can make yourself into more than just another name on the files, you are doing quite well!

When you are in a place where you are looking for scholarships for women, remember that they are out there. While you should not overlook general merit scholarships or scholarships that are more open in terms of who can apply, remember that the smaller the pool of applicants, the higher your chances of getting accepted are! Take some time and do some research into the scholarships that are available for you. This is something that can make a huge difference to the way that you are going to move forward and it can clue you into scholarships for women that you might not have been aware of before.

While seeing higher education is something that is challenging, it is by no means impossible. Money is often a bar, but remember that there are definitely scholarships for women out there that can help you remove some of the burden!

Have you seen this:

Have you seen this: http://www.positioniseverything.net/articles/pie-maker/pagemaker_2_9_home.html

I've got to say that I'm not fully convinced of the benefits of source ordering.
