Well, it's not a BED thing

An attempt to resuscitate microformats, maybe? In other words xhtml in a work-around MSFT's failure to support xhtml, which sounded its death knell.

I'd say if including meta data in the body's text, use xml or use microformat's convoluted attributes.

Call it a poor solution to a non-problem.
