Need help with my horizontal menu - dropdowns not working in any IE

My dropdown menus are working fine in all versions of Safari, Firefox and Chrome. They won't drop down at all in any version of IE.

I've tried a jQuery fix - did not work. Tried a straight CSS fix - no bueno. My code does validate through W3C.

Can someone take a look at this and tell me where I might be going wrong? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Drop downs not working in IE

I am a novice so what I am offering you may already know.

I use Opera and IE8. Your site is fine in Opera. In IE8 the site came up slower than in Opera. The links worked however there was an error icon at the bottom of the page from IE. Before the links opened up there was a flash of text and then the subject link page opened.

This is the error as cited by IE:
