Mr Tony...the visited links are driving me barmy! Half of them are grey before I get there and they are sooo hard to find - could we please have them stay wine or underlined or something? Ta muchly.
Hi Smee, Yeah sure we can do
Hi Smee,
Yeah sure we can do something.
I'll give underline ago later and see how it looks.
Same here
I've had the same trouble as Smee.
.
Thank you sooo much
I know you were just waiting for me to use that - and the is muuuuch better too
Web Dev toolbar >
Web Dev toolbar > miscellaneous > visited links > mark all links unvisited
solves browser caching of :visited on initial re-visit course must be using FF
.
Ack! didn't think of that since I only use those things when I'm testing my own code.
Though when I think about it...what prompted me to start this thread was that I went to a new topic earlier today - one I hadn't visited before - and it's link was already grey. I guess I somehow thought that it would be green because I hadn't visited it...if you get my drift.
green?
I don't see any green links... only purple and grey.
Merry Christmas Poes
Merry Christmas Poes What's the eggnog equivalent where you are? It's champagne here 'cos it's not cold (th weather - the champagne should definitely be chilled!)
Green? Yes see Hugo's hint above. It's obvious on the recent posts list and everywhere else because the visited ones are usually with unvisited ones which are...green. So identification is easy, but not here inside a topic.
Tony...thanks for the change...it is clearer but you did it everywhere and I really only meant inside a topic - like the page you're looking at, for the reasons outlined to Poes.
Any chance of just targeting the inside page? You were looking for something else to do I take it?
Sorry Smee
I have no clue what you're talking about : )

Well, there's advocaat (which also happens to mean "lawyer" lawlz) which is kinda more for old ladies but it's pretty much the same flavour as eggnog. People just drink hot chocolate milk though for Christmas.

That one went over my head. Maybe a Christmas joke or something.
Oh well it doesn't really matter, people will point out when they've already linked something and I didn't know it. That's what they have been doing so far.
Oops....
...I thought I was being perfectly plain

Aaaah, and a perfectly good drink too. Just wondered if there was something traditional at Christmas.

No, not at all - wasn't meant to be anyway.
You queried when I mentioned green links above, saying that you didn't see green ones. If you don't see them inside a topic page like this one, it means they're grey (visited) already.
I referred you to Hugo's post above where he mentioned that we can turn them all "unvisited" and thus green again, using the Miscellaneous tab on the webdev bar.
Web Dev toolbar > miscellaneous > visited links > mark all links unvisited
However I think a more obvious visited state is the go - even if it goes back to green on the 'inside' pages. But underline is fine, at least we can find it and at least I wasn't the only one who found it a bit toooo subtle
Subtle
The more subtle, the dumber I get.
I actually like the lawyer flavour. It's lekker.
