Hi friends,

I would like to create a button using the mapping technique.
I've mapped the image here using photo editor OpenSource Gimp:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">
<html>
  <head>
    <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">
    <title>prova</title>
  </head>
  <body>
    <img src="cosmogonia.org/cosmogoniA/tmp/pulsante.png" usemap="#map" width="271"
      height="273" border="0"> <map name="map">
      <!-- #$-:Image map file created by GIMP Image Map plug-in -->
      <!-- #$-:GIMP Image Map plug-in by Maurits Rijk -->
      <!-- #$-:Please do not edit lines starting with "#$" -->
      <!-- #$VERSION:2.3 -->
      <!-- #$AUTHOR:danjde --> <area shape="poly"
coords="9,168,267,167,267,115,251,71,230,42,190,14,160,4,109,3,65,20,42,40,15,73,4,112,1,143,5,168"
        onmouseover="cosmogonia.org/cosmogoniA/tmp/pulsante_over.png'"
        onmouseout="cosmogonia.org/cosmogoniA/tmp/pulsante.png'"
        href="cosmogonia.org">
    </map>
  </body>
</html>

this script map correctly the image but does not allow me the effect mouseover;

so I would ask whether if it is better to use CSS instead of two separate images for the mouseover, infact for me it would be enough to change the hue and brightness of the image mapped on mouse.

could you suggest me how make it? Smile

many many thanks!
