Greetings:

May I please get a second set of eyes on just the index page?

CLICK HERE

Everything is validating. It is not completely built out. I have a first working draft done. But this is the first master draft after going through and doing a really thorough clean sweep.

The only thing in this site that has caused me somewhat of a headache is <ul><li>'s and this bottom margin applied to part of the list in Firefox. Even after doing a.

*
{
margin:0;
padding:0;
}

It still was present. I have not had to wrestle with firefox this much.

The two problem areas. Which are in the body. Are the left square image. And the bottom right gradient. I ended up breaking them out of the list and placing them via float and position: relative;

Then I had the second problem. Which was when placing the content in the bottom right rectangle. "Skin Perfection Treatment System:, Step 1, Step 2 etc. It had about 100px; of blank margin at the top I could not get rid of. I could only get it to go where I wanted via relative positioning by using bottom: 200px; And when I put a border around it. It was still showing that blank margin space.

The only way I could get things to sit where I wanted in that bottom right rectangle without some crazy margin offshoot was via absolute position. Does anyone have any idea as to what the error is?

Other than that the code feels good and ready to go.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Sorry

Yeah. Sorry bout that. The first one was missing the appropriate link. I re-posted in the same thread. It was below and waited a few days and did not get any feedback. I assumed it was due to the broken link at the top. I could not figure out how to delete it. So I posted a second.

The second thread was specific to IE. And I did not get any responses in a couple days. So I posted a third for general feedback.

I really appreciate your time. I would delete the other two if It would let me.

Give it some time, tbone_two.

Give it some time, tbone_two. An awful lot of folks take the two weeks prior to xmas and new year's day for things other than forums. You just picked a bad time to need/want help. Smile

Don't worry, there'll be somebody wearied of festivus saturnaliae who'll jump in for long enough to help.

cheers,

gary

If your web page is as clever as you can make it, it's probably too clever for you to debug or maintain.

Thanks!

Thanks Gary!

The economy really tightened my belt over the holiday. Feels like it was used to play alot of catch up. And douse fires. Recessions . . . they are no joke. I just hope when I am the age of my late grandparents who survived the Great Depression. That I will be looking back on it with the same economy under my feet that eventually did come back . . . a Great one. For many Years. Greater than the Depression.

I live in Los Angeles. And a friend of mine who also does creative work said 200,000 people reportedly pulled out of California/LA in the last 2 months. Just up and left . . . and not to see family.

You might clean up the errors

You might clean up the errors being thrown by switching to the 4.01 Strict doctype and check its structure in the How To forum.

Other than that, it looks good. Nice, clean design. Is there still a problem with this?
