Hi folks!
I know this may anger a lot of you forum folk, but I am essentially a graphic designer with a focus on illustration and desktop publishing, but when I was at college I also studied web, and sure enough, if you don't use it you lose it, and that was about 7 years ago. So I've taken on some freelance web jobs. I know HTML quite well (except I use Sitecore so it's only really managing content and editing HTML so I dont come into contact with CSS).
I understand CSS has changed a fair bit in the past few years, so I just want to know if the following layout (it's not finished, which is why now is a good time to start figuring out if it's going to work.) I have prepared in Illustrator (yes I know, I shouldn't use Illustrator for web!) can be sliced up and what will be the best way for a beginner to implement it in Dreamweaver? I have some, but very limited knowledge of DIVs and I am using CS4.

It's a fixed-width single column with header and footer. Click on "Tools" up above and try the "CSS Layout Generator".

Do not, I repeat, do not let the weaver of lies slice the graphics or prepare any markup, if you have to use DW use it as an editor but your markup and styles must be handwritten (use layout generator as a shortcut ).

Sorry for not acknowledging your replies ages ago! I must have forgot to watch the question and then forgot about it until now where I am looking back at my deadline lol.
Well weaver of lies is about the extent of my web experience. Oh why can't web just be easy for designers I guess I will give this layout generator a shot!
