8 for some I've got a new job starting tomorrow and in my interview they asked about my online habits (yes, this forum is mentioned in my CV although not by name). It got me back here after a small hiatus - well, a wedding, honeymoon and new baby do take up a lot of time! - and got me reminiscing about the old days.
I know I've not been here the longest - that honour is bestowed upon Tony I believe at well over 8 years - but it's amazing how long many of us have been around. Hugo, Gary, Tyssen and myself have clocked up over 7 years each, and we're still active, almost daily. I know we've lost some along the way - Lorraine, Roy, Stu and Dave (dcelliot) being four that come to mind - but it really feels like a tight-knit community here of friends helping friends.
There wasn't a lot of point to this topic - I'm sure a ten-year anniversary will be a cause for proper celebration - but I like to look back on what I've done with my life and feel all nostalgic. I remember the influx of Friendster requests, my Doctype Nazi avatar, the move to drupal, the CounterStrike topics (whatever happened to them?), the birthday and Christmas topics, Triumph's disappearance ... we've been through a lot together!
The Internet's a-changin but from the death of IE5 Mac to the surge in mobile browsers and Chrome's ridiculous numbering scheme, here's to a great future
Well Tony would have to have
Well Tony would have to have been here the longest really seeing as it's his site that he started
Hmm your round up of events does make one nostalgic
Roy is still about, smee posts birthday topics?
The ten year celebration, will have to be discussed, I suggest we have a mass skype video conf party.
The net is changing and all too fast in some respects? and not always for the better
Congrats on the new job TPH!

It is pretty crazy to know that not only has this community been around that long, but I've been here for over 5 years. Thanks for not banning me yet, Tony!
Smee, that's it, doesn't s/he
Smee, that's it, doesn't s/he have the purple flower icon? And burlster, fairly sure that's how the 'introduce yourself' topic started?

thepineapplehead glad to have you back again. Hope the new job goes well.
Happy to put in a good word for you if it would ever help with job hunting.
We have seen some changes over the years. Thanks to all that have been part of it. I couldn't have done it alone.
I feel like I am getting left behind with all the social media stuff, and wonder how anyone gets any work done these days.
The baby in my pic is all grown up now, 14 years old. Look out for him I am trying to get him involved.

Yup. Nice to be mentioned in dispatches as it were. The blue daisy is Audrey's* nicer side.
TPH!!
Congrats on the new job...but starts on a Saturday? Coding? Does this mean you'll be back more often? Anyway..hope it turns out to be all you're hoping
Then again 7 years and you still haven't made 10,000 posts - tsk, tsk. Though I can't point any fingers, my excuse to someone else was that the post counts above me are all answers whereas my post count is/are all questions Can't believe I've been hanging around for four years either! Must be something to do with the company I keep.
Hmmm...I followed your links and remembered many of those names from my early scouring of the forum. We also seem to have misplaced Wolfie and Cupid lately.
smee posts birthday topics?
Ah, yes. I was the self-appointed Social Secretary for a while...TPH and Hugo
Good to have you back TPH

maybe my daisy's heartbeat will soothe you. (I actually intended to load the static one, got a shock to see it pulsing away there...)
Glrg! I turned animations back on. That's one creepy flower. Brings to mind the little shop of horrors.
I shall now kill the animation so I'll be able to sleep tonight.
cheers,
gary

Ditto on that, the pace of change is becoming scary, I've taken my eye of the ball where mobile devises are concerned but am involved in a social media app BuddyPress so that helps me keep an eye on that aspect.
We will have to keep an eye out for Tony Junior, and promise we won't shout about DocTypes, although we will be expecting high things given his teacher
Congrats on the new job TPH!

Thank you very much Mr. SpamFace!
How is gucci outlet still
How is gucci outlet still here? Is it - shock horror - an actual person who just happens to be called Gucci Outlet? Because thats a very unfortunate name and sounds just like a spam account.....
Greetings again
Woohoo, I got a mention! Really nice to have been remembered
Congratulations on the new job TPH. A lot has changed in my life as well since I joined the site. And yes, I was quite proud of the Hello thread, particularly because I think the first post was something like Hugo saying things like that never take off, then it went on to be a 4 page thread
Hope you lot are all well and hopefully I'll be able to come back here more often now.
