Basic stuff

This is basic stuff. Using Firefox's Firebug extension I find the following

#header {
    border-top: 3px solid #111111;
    }
See style.css, line 616. Delete that style rule.

The bottom border comes from two different elements.

#header {
    border-top: 3px solid #111111;
    }
See style.css line 2354. Delete the style rule.
#copyright {
    background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #111111;
    border-top: 1px solid #333333;
    clear: both;
    color: #CCCCCC;
    font-weight: 300;
    padding: 1.4% 3.2%;
    }
See style.css, line 2441. Delete the line with border-top.

The shadows are on the div#wrapper element.

#wrapper {
    background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #F8F8F8;
    box-shadow: 0 0 18px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.4);
    margin: 0 auto;
    max-width: 1140px;
    overflow: hidden;
    position: relative;
    }
See style.css, line 601. Delete the box-shadow property line.

It is important that if you're to maintain your own site, you expand your knowledge base.

cheers,

gary

If your web page is as clever as you can make it, it's probably too clever for you to debug or maintain.

See Line 1258 of

See Line 1258 of style.css:

.entry, #comments, #respond {
    background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #FFFFFF;
    border-bottom: 1px solid #DDDDDD;
    box-shadow: 0 0 5px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.1);
    margin: 2.5%;
    }

Delete the border-bottom and box-shadow lines.

Get the firebug extension for your Firefox browser and learn its powers. It will make a lot of this stuff more clear.

cheers,

gary
