newb css question

Hi,

I've been writing css for a LONG time... but still this baffles me. I have the following snippet of css

.col_left ul.left_list1 li {
	padding: 10px;
	background-image:url('../img/left_list1_bg.gif');
	width: 250px;
	background-repeat:no-repeat;
	color: #7c7972;
	cursor:pointer;
}
.col_left ul.left_list1 li:hover {
	color:#3d3938;
}
.col_left ul.left_list1 li.current {
	color:#3d3938;
	background-image:url('../img/left_list1_bg_sel.gif');
}

Problems with Simpleviewer and Spry Menu position in IE.

Hi,

I'm currently updating my website and am adding simpleviewer to show the pictures. I've got the simpleviewer to display correctly in firefox / Chrome but the simpleviewer doesn't display at all in Internet Explorer. That's one issue.

The 2nd issue, is that the spry menu bar displays approx 30 px to the right in IE then in firefox, and Chrome so is out of place and causes a new line underneath to be displayed, making the header thicker.

Can anyone explain why these problems are occuring in IE and what the solutions are? I really appreciate any help. Thanks

Center CSS, make it center, this is not a pretty one.

Hey Guys and Gals!

I've been handed an HTML document using CSS that was created with a "what you see is what you get" (i know, ew) program...
It's ugly, it's difficult to understand...

I just need to get this page to be centered, 0 margin from the top, but centered horizontally.
Can anyone help me???

Thanks a TON for your time and help!
-Tyler

menu background images cut off in IE7

Hey all, I have created a navigation bar and seem to be seeing an issue with IE7. The nav menu works fine in IE6 and IE8, as well as firefox 3 and safari 4. In IE7, the background images are pretty prematurely cutoff at the bottom. Any help on what I should change in the CSS to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I want horizontal scrollbar to appear

Hi All,

First let me write my HTML code (it's dummy).

<body>
  <div id="rightContent">
    <table border="1">
      <tr />
        ...
        ...
        ...
    </table>
  </div>
  <div id="leftContent">
    <div id="navigation">
        ...
        ...
    </div>
  </div>
</body>

and I have CSS Rules as follows.

html, body{
margin:0;
padding:0;
width:100%;
}

div#rightContent {
float: right;
width: 70%;
height: 100%;
}

div#leftContent {
float: right;
width: 30%;
height: 100%;
}
