Columns jumping in IE

I am working on a web site and, naturally, I'm having problems with IE compatibility. So far, I have been unable to find anyone else having this problem. When viewed in the latest version of IE, everything renders correctly through the header and into the first column, but when it gets to the first link, it forces it into the next column, after which everything flows normally until the next section where the cycle repeats.

Can anyone think of a reason this might be happening. Everything validates in the W3C validator, and works perfectly in Firefox, Opera, and Safari.

IE6,7 problem with menu margin

This is my first post and my first web design.
Im having problem with IE6 IE7 margins of the right menu, and i cant find solution for this issue.
I add margin-top: 2px; margin-bottom 2px; to the left menu but internet explorer 6&7 push the background image 1px up. In the other browsers all appear correct.

Here is style.css if somebody want to have a look please ;

font: bold 13px Verdana;
font-color: #292421;
margin:0px 50px 0px 50px;
line-height: 1.5em;
background-color: #FFF;
/* html .body {

Freewebs CSS Template cross browser problems

Hi, our charity website is on Freewebs as we need a cheap and easy CMS so that all volunteers can update it.

I've used a custom template which displays great in Firefox (although the drop down menus need some more work I know)

However, in back versions of IE it's a mess. The right side column ends up being displayed below the left side column. The drop down menus also go all over the place but they are a fudge anyway lol

Help with an embeded object's position in IE. Ok with Firefox.

Crazy I can not get this to look correctly and I know that it is a simple code. Please visit the following URL and let me know if you can help!

When viewing in Firefox, the calendar shows up correctly.
When viewing in Internet Explorer, the calendar displays at the bottom of the page.
