Problems with IE 9

Please view this (developmental) website:

Everything looks the way I like in Firefox, Safari and in Chrome, but when viewed in IE 9, I see two issues (hopefully related?). I'm guessing this is a div issue of some sort.

If you look below the flash areas you will see a light grey bar just above the Youtube video. That grey bar and everything below it should be the same width as the area above, but for some reason, in IE, it is wider than the areas above.

Horizontal menu staggered like steps in IE6 & IE7

Hi,

I have a site where the menu lays horizontally across the top page of the page and it works great in everything except ie6 and ie7 (no surprises there) and I can't workout for the life of me why. On ie6 and ie7 the menu looks like steps going down the page from left to right

I have added a css sheet for ie7 and ie6 but no amount of messing with the code will work.

This is the site www.murooj-beauty.co.uk

The html is

<div id="navigation">
       <ul class="nav_bar">
                <li class="current"><a href="index.php">Home</a></li>

Menu Position IE7 and IE6

I work for non-profit housing and I want to build a site to recruit volunteers and donations. I have validated my code and am currently testing on different browsers. The only problem I see is that the navigation menu shifts around on IE 7 and earlier. IE 8, IE 9, Firefox, Chrome, etc seem to be fine. The temporary site I got from hostmonster is:

http://74.220.215.79/~phhcvolu
any help is appreciated.

My CSS code is as follows:

body {

padding : 0;

line-height : 1.2em;

margin : 0;

text-align : justify;

background-color : white;

hover works fine in FF5 and Chrome12, not so well in IE9

Hi,
My search for a solution has reached far and wide and I finally decided to register and see if anyone on here can fix my problem. My issue is that, in FF and Chrome, the drop downs function exactly how I want them to when I hover my cursor over the words Home, Service, etc.
