IE and Firefox problems

I would greatly appreciate some help getting the main navigation menu to look and act the same across all browsers.

On the site above (HMTL5), I am having the following problem.
I
n IE8 and Firefox 8.01, the submenus when you hover over Services, About and Resources appear to the right of the main menu item instead of below it. When you are actually on the page that has a submenu, the submenu for that particular page appears correctly when you hover over the current page in the menu. Any idea on how to fix this?

Text size/color issue in IE

I was checking the browser compatibility of my code, and the text size and color isn't working correctly in IE, yet works wonderfully and perfectly in all other browsers. However, if I style it in the document instead of in the stylesheet, it seems to work, but that's messy code and I don't really want to do that. Also, the text that's not working is under a class, but I'm positive nothing is overwriting it (again, because it worked in all other browsers). Does anyone have any ideas about why IE wouldn't register it?

Div invisible in IE; OK in all other browsers checked

Hi,

I have a div (class="social") for Facebook and Twitter buttons on the left hand side of my website under the navigation. This is fine in Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Opera but invisible in Internet Explorer 9.

You can see the page live at www.hkiph.org.

The HTML is:

<html lang="en-GB" style="overflow-y: scroll;">
