Columns jumping in IE

I am working on a web site and, naturally, I'm having problems with IE compatibility. So far, I have been unable to find anyone else having this problem. When viewed in the latest version of IE, everything renders correctly through the header and into the first column, but when it gets to the first link, it forces it into the next column, after which everything flows normally until the next section where the cycle repeats.

Can anyone think of a reason this might be happening. Everything validates in the W3C validator, and works perfectly in Firefox, Opera, and Safari.

/*overflow: hidden;*/
/*border: medium solid #3333CC;*/
vertical-align: top;
text-align: center;

.droplinebar ul
padding: 0px;
margin: 0px;

a:hover affecting logo image

When I add a:hover {background...} to my stylesheet, there appears a "background" on my logo when you hover over it. It happens in IE 8 and Firefox. It happens in a site created with Dreamweaver and one "created" with Wordpress.

You can see this in action at

Nav Menu using CSS Sprites & the active state is not working...

Hey Smile So I'm fairly good at simple CSS usually, but I've been trying to figure out this darn thing for school forever now...I've researched it on these forums, as well as other sites I've found, and I just can't seem to get it to work Sad

I'm trying to make a navigation menu using CSS Sprites, with each button having one normal state, a hover state, and a current/active page state. The hover and normal state are working fine, I just can't get the current/active state to work. The background image just will not seem to show up...

IE6,7 problem with menu margin

This is my first post and my first web design.
Im having problem with IE6 IE7 margins of the right menu, and i cant find solution for this issue.
I add margin-top: 2px; margin-bottom 2px; to the left menu but internet explorer 6&7 push the background image 1px up. In the other browsers all appear correct.

Here is style.css if somebody want to have a look please ;
