background image

Right now, in part of my css file I have the following:

body {
background-color:#000000;
background-image:url("http://www.domain.com/image.jpg");
background-repeat:repeat;
margin:0;
}

Is there a way to code it so that clicking on the image loads another website and for that other website to appear in a new window ?

Stretchy Background Centered?

Hello All,

Please see the sandbox: http://184.106.226.242/press-and-events/press-kit/

CSS link: http://184.106.226.242/assets/templates/theme/style.css

I'm looking to make the background of #universe to stay aligned with the center of the #page background, regardless of the width and height. As one can see, the rest of the page stays wonderfully centered when the browser is resized, but the background. You can see the misalignment.

Background images in <li> tag dissapears in IE6 and IE7 when <a> tag exists in the <li>

Hi Guys,

In IE7 and in IE6, I have an anchor inside of an li which has a background image in it. When you mouse over these links, the backagound images go missing in these browsers. Any ideas as to why this would happen?

Here's an example (IE7 and IE6):

Scaling a Div Backround Image not to exceed Containers Max-Width

What I am trying to do is have rounded edges on the bottom of one of my Divs, but the Div shrinks and expands depending on window size. However, my Divs background image never changes.

Here is my CSS:

html {
    min-width: 945px;
} /*IE7*/
body {
    color: #393733;
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0 20px;
    text-align: center;
    background: #D9F3CF;
}
body, td, th, textarea, input, select, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6 {
    font: 83%/1.4 arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
}
a { color: #105CB6; cursor: pointer; outline: none !important; }
a:visited { color: #105CB6; }
