Can't get background image in <body> to show, please look at my CSS+HTML markup.

Hi. Can someone tell me where I'm having my problem? Thanks.
The css page would be in the same folder as the html page.

body {
	text-align: center;
body > .workyobody {
	background-image: url("") no-repeat center center fixed;
	-webkit-background-size: cover;
        -moz-background-size: cover;
        -o-background-size: cover;
	background-size: cover;
	position: fixed;
	left: 0;
	top: 0;
	width: 100%;
	height: 100%;
	opacity: 0.8;
	z-index: 1;
h1 {
	color: orange;

Trying to get a background image at the bottom right of my page

Hi, I'm trying to get a background image to align to the bottom right of a page and just cannot figure out how to do it. I can't figure out how the page is structured in order to force the image down there. Any ideas? The image is that of the red gear. Here's the link:

I am currently taking an HTML class in school and I'm having trouble. I can't get my background-image to work.

I have it as

background-image: url('public/images/letter1.png')

but it is not working; the photo is inside images which is inside public, which is inside my parent folder.

I've tried:

I've tried it with " instead of ', I've also tried without the quotes.
I don't know what else I can do??

Zoom Out

This is the css styling i gave to my website , the problem is when i zoom out , i see the image (that is the background i have specified) but around it , i see a white background , now what can i do so that i see my background image even when i zoom out .

	background: #000 url("../images/home-bg.jpg") no-repeat bottom center;
	color: #FFF;
	min-height: 800px;
	vertical-align: middle;

background-image acting weird

Hi guys, I have some strange issue with the "background-image" property, when I insert the "background-image" property into the tag, it displays normally like it should as you can see in the first picture I've attached, but when I put the "background-image" property into an CSS external file, it does not show the custom background image at all as in the last picture I've attached. You guys know why this is happening? the same thing happens when I try to use the @font-face property also. Any suggestions are highly appreciated.
