I have a site under development that looks fine in all browsers except IE 5.2.3 for Macintosh. It validates fine via the W3C for XHTML and CSS, looks fine in Firefox, Opera, Safari etc. but looks bad under IE/Macintosh. It appears the floats are unrecognized and assorted other gibberish generating defects. Unfortunately, some of the viewers are using this less-than-2%-of-the-population OS and browser combination and are not happy.
Not having this unpleasant combination, I have checked it using BrowserCam and indeed, it looks bad as my users have complained.
What can I do short of converting the whole thing to table based layout to make it view correctly under IE/Mac?
