I tried to use the list as horizontal menu and I applied a script wich increase the chars. The problem is that in the smallest size of the chars the menu is showed align on the left instead of kept in the center.
http://www.nevent.net/tomcat/

#menu ul{
	background-image:url(../graphic/sf_menu_ori.gif);
	background-repeat:repeat-x;
	height:39px;
	border:0px;
	padding:0px;
	margin:auto;
}
#menu ul li{
	display:inline;
	padding-top:9px;
	list-style-type:none;
}
#menu ul li a{
	font-weight:bold;
	padding-left:4px;
	color:#43B220;
	text-decoration:none;
	border-right-color: #43B220;
	border-right-style: solid;
	border-right-width: 1px;
	padding-right: 3px;
}
#menu ul li a:hover{
	color:#F67E06;
}

Also I've problem on the left menu using IE, the double border on the top of each "LI" it is showed only when you pass the pass the mouse on it.

#leftMenu ul{
	margin:0px;
	border:0px;
	padding:0px;
}
#leftMenu ul li{
	list-style-type:none;
	border-top-style: double;
	border-top-color: #FFFFFF;
}
#leftMenu ul li a{
padding-left:5px;
	font-weight:bold;
	color:#43B220;
	text-decoration:none;
}
#leftMenu ul li a:hover{
	color:#34481D;
}

Does anyone what is wrong?
Thanks

[list] horizontal width 100%

For the first problem, add text-align: center to the ul. And delete the float: left on the li (as seen on your live page).

ok, it works;
about the second, maybe is the a:hover property that has to be modified.
