iframe scrollbar on left???

Not that I know of.

Are you certain that it was an <iframe> and not a dhtml scrolling div?
The latter allows you to place the scrollbar wherever you want.
The former doesn't.

(This is where someone chimes in and coughs up some info on yet another nasty MSIE6-specific hack) Wink

iframe scrollbar on left???

You could always add this to the body tag, which makes the scrollbar land on the left hand side..... lol. I didnt try it with an Iframe, only IE's scrollbars.

<body style="direction: rtl;">

And it worked?
It positioned the scrollbars on the left edge of thebrowser window?

iframe scrollbar on left???

If I was on MSIE6/Win I wouldn't need to ask, would I?
I could just try it out for myself.

I'm on mac/safari*, so the html page isn't really a great demonstration.
The effect doesn't work MSIE5/Mac, but thx for the thought. Wink

Screenshot perhaps?

iframe scrollbar on left???

Thx for the screenshot.

It looks bzar. Not sure I'd see it as a good idea in practice.
Do 'we' know if it is one of the recommended behaviours listed in the W3C spec or one of the MSIEWin 'go it alone' extensions?

Is there a recommendation somewhere for its implementation in rtl language websites?

Maybe I'm being too western-language-centric, but I can't see that being 'useful' beyond entertainment and novelty value - even for left-handed or hebrew/etc… folk, given that every other interface has presumably already accustomed them to right-aligned scrollbars.

But again, thanks for showing me the pic, pghjezebel.
Much appreciated. Smile
