I have just finished this website and would really like your opinions on design and accessibility.
Everything validates so far

Let me know what you think

Some brief thoughts

It's green! Ok that's silly, I just have an adversion to green sites as they remind me of a VERY annoying client Wink

But

Your banner image has a meaningless Alt text, if you go to the trouble of putting one in it should at least mean something. "Sea Eco Yacht cruises" would be a lot better than "topban"

On your contact us page, your email address is not very accessible. If I have poor eye sight and and use no JS there is no way I can email you. I know it's an anti smap measure but think that if you are stopping spam you are also stoping some users.

On your gallary section, even though it's comendable to have, I would say that the title credditing Stu for the code should not be the title of the image but as text somewhere else on the page. Just looked a bit odd comming up when I hovered over image.

All minor things and feel free to ignore (appart from the greenness that is *shiver*) Laughing out loud

Ha Ha Ha! been there with orange!

Thanks for pointing out the alt text for the topban - silly mistake

will change credit for title on gallery page too - just wanted to give credit where it was due - damn fine job he did with the gallery

Glad you like it in general though

Let me know what you think

Personally I think they are a bad idea

No matter how large you make it there will be people who will not be able to see it.

It's a tricky thing, Not wanting Spam V.s Accessibility and alas there is in my opinion not a win win situation Sad

It's not something I would do.
Other comments: the header graphic doesn't look very well finished. Pic is blurry and the text is jagged. I know you're probably trying to keep file size to a minimum but I think it might be at the expense of looking right in this case.
I'm not a fan of the bold first letter of each paragraph. I find it distracting more than anything else, almost like you're s'posed to read the bold letters down the page for a hidden meaning.
You might also want to consider making your subheads a different size/colour from your links cos there's nothing to differentiate them at the moment.

I guess you're right - i promised my customer no spam but a little spam is better than losing business!

Cheers

You might want to consider a form people have to fill out to contact via email rather than a direct email link.

Really, never do that Wink You can't stop spam, you can reduce it sure but you can't stop it.

The form idea helps but again not fool proof.

They will just have to accept that they WILL get spam. They might be able to filter it out before it gets to their inbox but that's another matter.

Fair call - i cant do much about the text as it was taken off a picture from the yacht but i can up the k's on the picture for better quality

Will look at that agin - i guess people will try to click on them

Briski - i said that he wouldn't get spam as a result of this website but back to the comments above - a bit of spam versus lost custom

Thanks for the input guys - much appreciated

Have you thought about obfuscating the email address (Blimey - big word for a Wednesday afternoon)
http://64.176.94.123/html/site-toys/obfuscate-email.html
Do read the article in the first link. Nothing is guaranteed to stop spam 100%, we can only try to fool the address harvesters - for a while that is.

edit: several other methods - couldn't find the link earlier #-o

This sites method is also worthy of note and may just be slightly more secure than the iso/hex method. major drawback being that it's javascript and like the generate on demand script relies on javascript being on.

Of course all these methods are probably not really difficult for bots to crack, given time and the popularity of the method used.

A pic of sea wildlife under the navigation list? Filling the empty area?

Took license to borrow a sea color to replace the green.
