Hi,

over the last 2 monhts I have been working on moving my site from using tables to CSS to control layout, and went live with the new version a couple of weeks ago.

If anyone has the time or inclination to have a look at what I have done that'd be great. Please let me know if I have made any glaring errors. I can't see any from here...

I used a free trial on browsercam.com to preview the site, and it looked okay, except the flash content didn't appear on Konqueror.

This is the site:

Thanks muchly.

moved to css layout - any feedback please?

You can always check for yourself at the validator:

Nothing glaringly rotten here...just a few out of place characters.

Thanks - I'm not sure what I did wrong there, the validator didn't like two apostrophes. All fine now.

Thanks again

Perhaps your text editor saved them as curly quotes or something like that. Smile

In my view, not changing colour or background colour or something on hover (apart from the cursor) is a glaring error - and most of your themes are like that (for the top menus). Why?

Good question, and one I've not really thought about. I've changed the CSS for the themes now - the a:hover has changed so the link is underlined. I can't work out a better way at the moment without spending some time looking at suitable hover colours.

Thanks for the suggestion

Jim,

I like it. Nice style, good, clean vibe. The link-bloat hovers are nice (I'm a sucker for lightup hovers). In IE5 the last hover in that section, aortal seems to extend below where you probably wanted to contain it. Nice though.

Yeah, nice site. Good color. Clean and tidy. I don't see any problems with it.
