http://www.wv-net.de/css/
I'm kinda new to CSS, but hopefully you can give me a hint, what's wrong with my CSS.

Problems
In Mozilla (Firebird)

1.) the footer has no background color 2.) the submenu (on the left) has no white background (up to the bottom)
3.) a "strange" blue box appereas on the left

In IE (6.Innocent

4.)The page is not centered - otherwise it looks perfect.

Thanks for your time and help!
(The W3C CSS Validation Service validates .css and .html)

I can't find the reason, why it looks diffrent in Mozilla/IE

1) needs to be background-color, not just background.
2) You have not specified a height for the submenu, so Moz is just wrapping the div around the contents and not extending to the bottom of the page.
3) You float submenu, and content, but afterwards you do not clear both, and it looks like part of your footer is making its way up to the top in Moz

Did you use margin: auto on your main container div? If so, this attribute is supported by IE6 so the only reason it's not working is the doctype switching into quirks mode. Try deleting the XML declaration at the very top of your page and try again.[/url]
