Out-of-the-box security, stability, ease-of-use, compatability, features - stuff like that.

Roy
I really do look forward to trying all that out and benefitting from OSX. Once my Powerbook has come back from Apple - blank screen -wind keeps blowing the candle out (that is a joke BTW) or just my bad luck, then I will spend a lot of time learning all about it. Meanwhile, I need to get a different mindset and gen up on a new lexicon, but I don't need the hardware for that.

You guys know that OSX is FreeBSD which is Unix? (At their core)

IE7 is 10 years behind the standards or wrong.
But it works in IE!

You will indeed need to get to grips with common things being called by different names to those that Windows use (and end-users do not need to worry about what is (or was) at the core of the machine), but you should find the Mac lexicon and file tree a bit more logical to understand than the 'Windows way'. OSX is undoubtedly more complex to understand than OS9 at levels just below the trouble-free surface, but then security and stability does come at a price (the very strict *nix-style system of permissions). The good thing is that for those already familiar with OS technologies, the learning curve is very shallow, and next to trying to understand how M$ do things, it's a breeze.

But all this is tangental to my original point, which is that OSX is there, ready for people to use right now, and it is just as easy to use as Windows, if not more so. But seemingly like everything related to what we do on the web, the issue is one of education and enlightenment.
