In my quest to move towards full XHTML compliance, I moved some info into definition list tags. Everything is great in NS (surprise), yet the text is "invisible" in IE (even BIGGER surprise Laughing out loud ).

Attached are pics to show you. When I say "invisible", I say that because the text is there. If I select the text with my mouse, I can then see it. Weird...

Here is the code:

<dl>
<h3 class="highlightTitle">Highlight Book Of The Month</h3>
<img src="#" width="108" height="138" alt="Book Cover" class="highlightImage">
<dt>Animals Without Backbones - ScienceWorks for Kids</dt>
<dd>EMC# 0855</dd>
<dd>Retail Price: $9.95</dd>
<dd>Grades 1-3</dd>
<dd>ISBN 1557996849</dd>
<dd class="highlightLink"><a href="#">See Detail</a></dd>
</dl>

Anyone have any ideas?

Disappearing text

Well, a little persistance paid off! Laughing out loud

The book image was floated left, so I had a "clear" after the end of the list. It appears that this was the culprit?!? I simply assigned a height to the definition list, thus eliminating the need for the clear, and voila!

Thanks for all your help! Laughing out loud

Do you have any CSS attached to the definition list?

The only way to learn is to do it yourself
