Hi there. This is a CSS animation based on Stu Nicholls's code (beginning of larger site) that seems to work in explorer & firefox on both mac and pc. However it does not work in Safari (version 1.3) on mac running panther. Anyone have any ideas why it wont work in Safari? (The CSS passes w3c validator).

Just hover from left to right (or right to left) and in firefox you'll see what is supposed to happen - a flickbook type effect.
Thanks in advance.

css and safari - where's the problem?

How cool is that!

There seems to be some comment that the bigger flick animations don't work in Safari on Stu's site - so it may not just be you.

In which case I'll take the opportunity to throw a wild guess! How about tyring a 1.0 doc type instead of a 1.1.

My strategy is so simple an idiot could have devised it!

had a go but ....

Thanks for the thoughts - 1.0 instead of 1.1 was definitely worth a shot but alas, alack, what's the world coming to, well I'll never, it can't be, my faith is shot, bummer dude, no way, yes way, demned pimpernel ....
it didn't work.
Anyone got any other thoughts?
The small animations in Stu's site seem to run into the same problem on my machine (fine in Opera, FF, IE -- but crapola in Safari).
Cheers
