*NOTE: The site is in verrry early predesign, so content are jpg's. Also don't use IE to view the url, it is not ready for that yet.

The problem is that I'm trying to create a semi fluid design. The footer together with a right bottom collum corner make up the bottom of the viewport. So when resized (or people with a small resolution screen) these elements will move with the screen size accordingly. Use FIREFOX for this url, IE is not ready yet.

At first it seems to work...but then...grab the scrollbar once it appears aftre resizing to a small screen and scrool down. There is the problem as you can see it.

You get the idea I think, but is this even possible? I feel I'm close, but yet so far.

I don't believe its possible in the way you are attempting. To get the footer to always appear below the content you really need to have it in the content flow, not positioned absolutely. You could position it relative to the longest content column but then, if that column was quite short, it wouldn't appear at the bottom of the screen.

The real thing is to consider, how important is it that the footer appears at the bottom of the screen?

It can be done, see this example. Take a look around the web and see how many sites bother going to that much trouble and think about how much not having it will detract from your site. I would suggest not much at all.

Thanks Chris for taking time and finding a solution. I think I can part with the bottom footer.

However, the little corner (the quarter round at the bootom right) I'd like to keep. I am okay with the way it works in Firefox, but am unable for it to show up in IE? Any thoughts on that?
