This is a layout I've made for a friend of mine and I'm planning to put the url in my CV (I'm unemployed...) so it has to be as good as possible. My friend uses a redirection frame so I've reproduced it for testing purposes.

Here are the links :
- http://www.culture-anime.net/sandbox/newkyotan/frame2.html (large content)
- http://www.culture-anime.net/sandbox/newkyotan/frame1.html (small content)

It is valid strict xhtml and valid css.

Could you please test it on Mac (Safari, IE Mac...do the png images look ok ?) ? I don't have a Mac so I can't do that myself...

Thx !

Could you test and provide advices for this page ?

I'm a bit confused. You have no css so how can it validate? In fact you define the background colour in your html. your xhtm - well you are using HTML 4.01, and it doesn't validate as you have defined your character encoding. Frames...I'm not even going there. I assume you have your reasons.

are you just asking us to give our views on your visual design?

oh, and your favicon doesn't work btw.

Wait, you didn't understand my first post or maybe I didn't explain myself right.

My friend has a domain name but he uses a free hosting service so he can't link the domain name with his site directly. The only way to have the domain name appear in the address bar in that case is to use a frame. That's what I called, maybe wrongly, a "redirection frame". I didn't write the code of that frame and I can't change it nor can I do anything about it.

The actual pages I wrote are here :
- http://www.culture-anime.net/sandbox/newkyotan/index2.html (large content)
- http://www.culture-anime.net/sandbox/newkyotan/index1.html (small content)

But because of the redirection I was talking about, they will be viewed through a frame. There's nothing I can do about it. So I copy pasted the code of that redirection frame and I changed it so that the content of the frame are the pages I wrote. I thought it was preferable to test the layout the exact way it will be used : inside that frame.

So here are the pages mentionned above but displayed inside the "redirection frame" :
- http://www.culture-anime.net/sandbox/newkyotan/frame2.html (large content)
- http://www.culture-anime.net/sandbox/newkyotan/frame1.html (small content)

I have tested the layout in IE6 win, FF, Opera but I don't have a mac and I would like to know if it is ok with IE6 mac and Safari.

my apologies. I have to admit I have no experience of frames. I have to feed my daughter now, but if no one has replied I'll check it in the mac later (on pc now).

A very quick glance at the pages in FF_Mac and Safari_Mac would suggest that all is well. I don't have time to look any deeper but visually the site looks very classy - nice Smile

If you need to know what your site looks like on a mac then that is the place.
