Hi all,

These days, i'm trying to create a print system with css :

-don't want that user print the page as he saw it on screen
-don't want to open another window

so, someone came to me with this:

<link rel="alternate" type="text/css" href="print.doc" media="print">

it's cool but i need to pass some php variable, so i came with this:

<link rel="alternate" type="text/css" href="print.php?num=<?=$num?>" media="print">

and it's working very well. Good this about this is that, when a user whan to print the information that he see on screen, you can restructure the visual of this page for print format so, no image, no background, just the thing you need to print.

I've test it on PC IE 6 and it work.

Now, i need good soul to test it on MAC/PC for all browser kind and version.

you'll see a random number and if you print that page, it will print another page with just the number, in bigger.

Thank to help me and please reply me your platform, browser and version and if it's working or not
