Hello,

I was hoping somebody can help. I am running into some "WEIRD" problems with my CSS in Netscape. My site is Torontoplace.com and when viewed in Netscape my link tags work, but my header tags don't ????

My header tags are driving me crazy! I have a line in my CSS that says

.H1main {
PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; PADDING-LEFT: 0px; FONT-SIZE: 12pt; PADDING-BOTTOM: 0px; COLOR: #385070; LINE-HEIGHT: 100%; PADDING-TOP: 0px; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana; MARGIN:0px;
}

And this DOESN'T WORK!

I also have a line that says

.H1rest {
PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; PADDING-LEFT: 0px; FONT-SIZE: 12pt; PADDING-BOTTOM: 0px; COLOR: #385070; LINE-HEIGHT: 100%; PADDING-TOP: 0px; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana; MARGIN:0px;
}

That DOES work. It's the exact same line. So why does one work and the other doesn't????? I find this weird but is not the main issue.

I am going to use .H1rest for my header tag since it works. However my H2 tags DON'T work. I took the exact same line from .H1rest and named it H2rest and just changed the font size and it doesn't work. I can't seem to get those darn H2 tags to work. Any Ideas? Thanks for ANYTHING you can tell me.

Netscape 7.1 Driving me crazy!

Hi Makaveli19,
Forgive me if i'm wrong but the H1, h1main and h1rest all look the same.
Can you point us to a page where the heading isn't working and explain whats wrong with it.

Netscape 7.1 Driving me crazy!

Tony

They are the same as he said, but one does not work and the other does.

Makaveli19

I have not seen tags used like that before - but before I say that I need to see the actually code used in the body. As Tony said please point us at a page we can see.

FYI

If you had a Div called main and had h1 tags within the div I would have thought you would have this

.main H1{
PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; PADDING-LEFT: 0px; FONT-SIZE: 12pt; PADDING-BOTTOM: 0px; COLOR: #385070; LINE-HEIGHT: 100%; PADDING-TOP: 0px; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana; MARGIN:0px;
}

Although I have had problems with this type of setup for lists.

or this

H1.main {
PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; PADDING-LEFT: 0px; FONT-SIZE: 12pt; PADDING-BOTTOM: 0px; COLOR: #385070; LINE-HEIGHT: 100%; PADDING-TOP: 0px; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana; MARGIN:0px;
}

with tag of <H1 class id="main">heading text</H1>
