Thanks to anyone who can help me out with this...

I have a site with one div holding the majority of the site content, including and embedded div that acts a menu along the lefthand side. The problem is, though I specify that the menu should have height:"100%", in IE it stops well before 100% and in Netscape it doesn't extend at all.

Here's a link to a page on the site (its not fully up and running yet) and the CSS:

Thanks again for any help!

Problem with embedded menu at 100%

Hi simont,
100% height in css is one of the things that should be so easy yet never seems to do what you expect.
The trick is to set the containers size so the column has a value to calculate 100% of. html, body{height:100%;}

You could also try the CSS Layout generator Cool

Hope that helps

Problem with embedded menu at 100%

Thats for sure! I actually did try setting the html and body container sizes, with only partial success in the IE6 browser and none whatsoever in Netscape. Anyway, I'll give the layout generator a try. Thanks for you help.
