hello. i used the css creator (from this site) to design the very basic layout of my newest website, a band from State College, PA called "Mr Hand" (aloha!, mr hand... remember that? Fast Times at Ridgemont High!)

anyway... please take a look and see if you can find my error.

i have ColdFusion installed on my machine as a "testing server" and the pages look the way i want them to here locally (see screen capture at this link... )

please take a look at the capture so you can see what i'm going for. i don't understand why it looks good on my local server, but after uploading it to the hosting server, it doesn't look the same.

as you can see, i've left the text "left column, main content, footer" in there so i can see where i'm at in my dreamweaver code view

thank you very much for your help! i appreciate any suggestions you might have as well. (for the record, everything looks ALL out of whack in DW's design view, but i've noticed that w/ css type pages so far, as in my first attempt on www.eastcoastbandnetwork.com which i didn't have nearly as much problems w/ by the way, and also, y'all helped me out on that one as well. profuse thanks for all of your help thus far!)

EUREKA!

silly me... i figured it out!...

i had the .css document in a folder named "css" which was in the wrong part of the directory structure... it was in mrhand.com/css (at the same level as the wwwroot directory)
instead of mrhand.com/www/css

considering, however, that the file was in fact on my server, and the references to the file were correct... i wonder WHY it didn't work from that location?

ideas?
