I like the look of it a lot. You may consider a min-width fix for IE as the page gets that "crunched" look after the width is reduced to a certain degree. You can achieve this in the following way. This bit of code should go within <head></head> somewhere on any page where the min-width should be applied. This is necessary due to IE not recognizing min-width. The values contained within can obviously be adjusted to whatever your min-width actually is.

<!--[if IE]>
<style>
#wrapper { width:expression(document.body.clientWidth < 400 ? "392px" : "auto" ); }
</style>
<![endif]-->

Left col disappears

Hi Fambi
Nice looking site, simple and clean.

One BIG problem in Firefox - as soon as i resized the screen the left column disappears completely, also when i changed to 800 x 600 it wasn't there at all, i couldn't even scroll to find it!

just thought you'd need to know

fatfreddy,

What OS are you using? I cannot duplicate the problems you descibed using FireFox 1.0.2 or Mozilla 1.7.5. I'm using windows xp, sp2. Can you attach a screenshot or two?

Ok. THanks for the input guys. Keep it coming!!!

With regards to the left column issue, i've just seen it on my own computer. bacially, as you minimise the screen the main section starts to over lap the left section until it is completely covered, and that is why scrolling down does no good. I'll figure out how to deal with it and let you know how it goes.

With regards to 800X600, i've set up a bit of js and a cookie to detect resolutions with a width of 1024 or greater, in which case those phones on the right hand side appear, otherwsie they shouldn't be there. But for that to kick in, you have to close your browser first, change the resolution and re-open. I'd appreciate if y'all could try that out and make sure it works as planned.

With regards to the min-width issue, i've been looking for one, and till now had to be satisfied with a $^^&*& blank image if X width. I'll try that hack now and see how it goes.

I thank you guys again for the input and ask you to please keep it coming. You guys are saving me from big disasters and loss of business from potential clients. I give special thanks for thos who are giving screenshots (very kind!!!).

Hi everyone.

Antibland has kindly brought it to my attention that there is a problem with the top navbar.

Here is the screenshot : http://www.csscreator.com/css-forum/download.php?id=1176

I am not experiencing this problem at my end, although he is.

Here is the css:

#top_bar
{
position:absolute;
top:80px;
width:100%;
line-height:28px;
background: url(/generic_files/images/top_navbar.gif);
}

I can't understand why this is happeneing cnsidering this layer is positioned absolutely and not nested in any others.

Any ideas?
