So I made this page with link buttons for the content with onmouseovers. They are in a table and it works perfect with IE but doesn't do a thing in Netscape or Opera. I can't figure it out... it all seems like it should work...

the page is: http://dam-computers.com/~nas

Thanks!

Buttons in table don't work in Netscape/Opera

Hi timmah,
Thats a strange one.
Try giving your page a valid doctype and validating http://validator.w3.org/ to see if there are any errors causing the problem.

Hope that helps

Buttons in table don't work in Netscape/Opera

well... tried that... and it seems that the code is fine except for the alt tags, but nothing in the buttons that are wrong.

Also tried some other validaotrs with compatability testers and nothing about the buttons came up...

I've tried adding the size but it still seems to do nothing... then the last 2 buttons are clickable... very wierd.

another note, when I add the Doc type it makes a space in my button bar... it's wierd...

Buttons in table don't work in Netscape/Opera

The usual cause for non-clickable buttons in Op and Moz but
not in IE is when an absolutely positioned element that is
transparent happens to layer over the links. IE does allow
clicking thru a transparent AP element, but the others don't.

Oddly, I just checked and both Firebird and Op7.2 do allow
those buttons to be clicked. (?) Have you altered the layout?
If you haven't, and there is such a covering element, then
those very recent browsers now allow thru-clicking as IE does.

Let us know, okay?

Depressable Buttons in Netscape

I want to place two sets of depressable buttons, different sizes and maybe colors, too, on the same page using CSS. The problem is I can make it work in IE but not in Netscape or Mozilla. The first set works fine in all three, but not the second. I've attached a copy of the code. Any ideas?
