Hi there.

New to csscreator, but it sure looks like a good resource!

I've got a newly built site at http://paysyscomputing.com.au. Any comments regarding problems, especially with rendering on browsers other than PC IE and Mozilla would be very much welcome. Also, any suggections as to what default OS font's might be a good choice for non-PC environments? I know Georgia doesn't render like Georgia on my Linux box here!

Another thing. If you enter a dummy URL - like http://paysyscomputing.com.au/a - you'll get the 404. Notice that the menu overlaps the border. In fact if the 404 text was any shorter, the menu would flood over the border. I'm a CSS novice, so advice as to how to overcome that prob will be helpful.

Thanks,

the menu div is positioned absolutely, so it has been moved out of the flow of the rest of the document. Try replacing position:absolute with float:left. You may need to make some other changes to compensate. Check out some other posts for information on float and links to informative sites.

Hi Chris_S

Your site looks beautiful.
For rigging the details you may want to have a look at:

Hi,
The site looks very good. One comment though.
The 3d cog wheel logo thing would match the rest of the site better if it was flat 2d, shown face-on. Possibly overlapping the top and left borders of the main area.

Thanks for the comments guys. I'll have a muck about. The validation tool was good - saves having to validate each page.

Cheers,

I made the little copyright div style clear:both and then repositioned it with a few more style commands, and it works perfectly. That little hack courtesy of someone else whose name and website I forgot to note. Sorry!
