anyone here firmiliar w/ psftp...secure ftp

i'm trying to connect to, get and put files to a secure ftp location. The issue i have is we're doing it via DTS package which uses an active x script to create a batch file of psftp commands and a "execute process task" which ties this batch command file to a .bat file which basically just has a command that opens psftp location and specifies it want to utilize a batch file of commands. My issue is w/ normal ftp the user and pass was in the batch file that had all the commands. W/ psftp it appears you have to specify user/pass when you make the call to psftp as opposed to it being within the batch file
