I am slowly learning CSS and in the process of converting my site but before I roll it out I would appreciate input on the home page (I previously had about 30 tables on it!) from a css perspective so that I don't make the same mistakes thoughtout the entire site.

Many thanks! The site can be found here: http://www.sbhonline.com

Two minor errors are preventing the page from validating. Smile

Love the colors and the layout looks good.

The nav bar needs some tweaking. The items aren't spaced right in Firefox or Opera....and in IE the drop down menus drop down almost under the items to the right of the ones they belong to. Active/hover links need to be something other than white, or maybe <strong> or all caps...they just aren't legible in normal weight mixed case white. I'd replace the slashes with ampersands. 'Discussion Forums' could just be 'Forums".

<h1>s might need to stand out more...maybe a different color or font or larger font size or all caps?

Not all the photos link to their respective pages in the 'How to Use this Site' section. I kept trying to use them as links.

I prefer the nav bar on the Paradise Found page, although the text color needs to be a darker blue for legibility.

Nice looking site. Makes me want to head for that island!

Thanks for all the feedback. I fixed the links (so that they linked from all the images), increased the font size on the headers and changed the rollover color in the nav bar. I am trying to deal with the quirks in the nav bar in Firefox but I can;t quite figure it out. Any other input/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I also fixed the issue affecting the CSS validation.
