Thoughts on my site

Looks fine............Just a couple of problems Smile
You might want to rush and re-check the validation for the CSS , as naturally enough when faced with links to validators and the proclamations of valid coding I tend to check; at the moment the css file fails- only on a small point though, and I'm sorry to say the html fails as well, with that I would worry a little more as you have missing opening tags which look to be due to incorrect nesting of elements
In html 4.01 trans it's not happy and with xhtml it would probably have a fit, bTW is MT not meant to output to xhtml 1.0 ? I would at least move the doc type up to strict if not xhtml 1.0 also in 4.01 you do not have to close empty tags.
Sorry to rain on your parade but otherwise it does look ok Smile

Yeah, I forgot that was up there still...I've been playing with it today. (whoops)

Ok, other than the validation which will be cool in all of 5 mins when I'm done messing with things, any design suggestions?

UPDATE:
CSS validates fine now....by the way...Just don't want people to think that I don't have validating code (I am a web designer).

On the HTML validating...you are right. It was validating...but my MT posts are messing things up. When I don't have a pile of work on my desk(top) I'll fix that.

What I'm really looking for is more design suggestions now.

Thoughts on my site

Looks good i think! The only thing that stands out for me is the tiny navigation bar which sticks out at the side on the top left, i personally am not too keen on the look of it and would have thought it best to keep everything inside the main content box! That's just me being awkward though Laughing out loud !

Thoughts on my site

I echo the comment about the tiny nav bar... and I am not really fond of your gradient background either, but that's just me... both of those items are very nit picky and personal preference.

I think you could do with a little more margin or padding on your text as it bumps up quite close to your borders at times.

Other than that... nice job. Can't quite figure out the connection between the logo image and the name of the site? Maybe there isn't one... if there is I would LOVE to hear it.

Thoughts on my site

Yeah, I'm not thrilled with the background or the top logo either.

The reason that they are there is really just because I'm no good at photoshop at anything other than simple picture retouching. So as much as I wanted a cool background or a neat logo pic, I had to go with that. I've been thinking about putting a random picture behind the hellyeah*beep*.com name in place of the picture of the girl. As far as the background, I'm not sure.

On the nav-tab: Should it be bigger? I think if I change my background it will stand out more.

Thanks for the comments so far guys! I'm sure you know if you stare at a site for too long, these are the kinds of things that you miss!

Thoughts on my site

I was thinking about keeping the gradient, execpt maybe add more white, as suggested, but making the background fixed.

That might help some.

I agree. Fix the gradient and smooth it out a little.
