Hi,

In the project I'm currently working on, I have a table and in that I have multiple menu options using ul & li tags.

The problem I'm facing is that this menu is being shown perfectly in IE 6, Netscape 7, Mozilla 1.4 & Mozilla Firebird 0.6.1 as well.

But in Opera 7.2, the menu on one page is shown with CSS effects, whereas in other page no CSS effects are shown.

The CSS code I have done is like:
#nav ul li a {
display: block;
padding: 5px;
margin: 0;
background-color: #808080;
color: #FFFFFF;
border-top: solid 1px #999;
border-bottom: solid 1px #bbb;
font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-weight: bold;
text-decoration: none;
}

Whereas in html file it is given as :
<td>
<div id="nav">
<ul>
<li><a href="index.htm">Home</a></li><li><a href="weblog.htm">WebLog</a></li>
</ul>
</div>
</td>

Is there any special changes to be done for Opera 7.2 ? This is really a strange problem I'm facing. My thanks in advance.

CSS rendering in Opera giving problem !!

Hi adventurex,
If the page is displaying correctly on one page and not the other you may have a typo in there somewhere.
You could try validating http://validator.w3.org/ your html which might pick up mistakes such as tags that aren't closed etc.
Otherwise provide links to both pages so we can have a look.

Hope that helps.

CSS rendering in Opera giving problem !!

Hi Tony,

Thanks for the idea. The culprit came out as wrong "xmlns" attribute.
