Ladies and gentlemen (those who haven't seen this), I present for your consideration:
http://zengarden.20megsfree.com/
Give it some time to load. Works in all browsers, including Netscape 3, so it seems.

WARNING! to all students of CSS and web design. Do not copy code, do not try to emulate. Doing either will seriously damage your health.

My eyes hurt! Shock

Also you almost killed my Computer will all that movement, the poor thing ground to a near standstill!

That said it was an amusing reminder of why animated gifs are mostly evil, for which I thank you.

The "Broken" image on participation was an especially nice touch.

Wonderful , love it , who's is it ? do you think it was rejected by csszengarden Smile
But we must remember that design is a subjective matter and not to be too harsh in our judgement Laughing out loud anyway it's got a DTD and validates that's all I care about Wink

If my life where a movie, I would assume that page to be an acid flashback.....

Interesting design, impresive how you captured the 90's style web design.

Knowing my skills are not up to that elevated stage yet Sad

It's from Bruce Lawson, the chap behind Glasshaus publishing (before they went bust) and all those web developer titles. He's now one of the people behind the DMXZone pay-per-article venture.

Well, I was wondering whether this was an example of your web accessibility standards , but you mustn't put yourself down Lorrainne with practise you will be able to achieve designs of this magnitude Smile

Teeheehee, that site's fantastic. My friend had a right laugh when he saw it - laughed even more when I told him it was deliberately like that.

I tried his site, but still get bandwidth limit exceeded. Shame.

Just out of interest, why did you hope I would like it?

Lorraine;

Why all the hype at first. The site is not that great. Unless I missed something. I'm not impressed.
I visited http://zengarden.20megsfree.com/

All 'tongue in cheek' and a ummh 'joke'. Laughing out loud

If you have recently visited the 20megsfree page, the author has, as he said, moved it to stop the hosts advertising mucking up the georgeous layout. The link on that page takes you to the developer's site http://www.brucelawson.co.uk/garden.htm. This is also a joke. Read what the CSS gurus make of his zengarden. Then follow the link called Geocities 1996 to http://www.brucelawson.co.uk/zengarden.htm to see the page in all its glory. Wink
