There is a website I'd like to grab the code from so I can see how they do a certain thing... Also, how do you do like 'flash apps' I guess you would call them. Like I want to create a thing for my website that has my website's address do this: go to http://www.booterworld.com and watch the starting app. Then, enter the site and look at the top left corner, and I'd also like to create something like that.

Also, if you have any suggestions on what to add to a site to make it more interesting and fancy and stuff, I'd appreciate it.

One last question... How do you make a member database for a website? Like what www.csscreator.com has and many other sites, where you can register for free, and post in forums...? -relating to that, how do you create a forum to correspond with the member database like www.csscreator.com and only allow them to post if they are a member? I know it's a really advanced thing, but I'd really like to have it for my site cuz I think it would make things a lot more interesting. So, please help....

To view the source of any website, click the 'view' button in the menu, then 'page source'.

The 'flash apps' are created in a program, surprisingly enough, called Flash. This is made by Macromedia. It's expensive.

csscreator.com uses forum software. The most well known is phpbb. The site is at phpbb.com.

Ok, thanks. So, there is some macromedia flash app creator? or what? And do you know of any free ways to create these flash apps or stuff similar?

Yes, this Macromedia Flash App Creator is called . . . funnily enough, Macromedia Flash. It's part of a suite called Macromedia MX2004 (the latest version - it goes back to MX, etc). However, the suite is very expensive, and you'd only want Flash.

A word of warning - shy away from Flash sites.

If you want a program that creates groovy text effects and short animations, I'd suggest either Swish or CoffeeCup Firestarter.

Swish was reccommended to me by a friend. It's a small program that creates text animations, and such, end exports to the .swf format, which is played by the flash file. Firestarter is similar - there is a free veriosn but it will display a copyright logo on any animation made.

I would shy away from flash sites as they often take a while to load up (especially on DialUp), are difficult to maintain, and occasionally irritate people.

Simple things, like a flash advert for a product, or a simple looping animation for a logo is fine, but don't build an entire site in Flash.

Then by all means go right ahead and use Swish or something else. It's fine for something like a logo, but not for an entire site.
