Only have help In Mind

Last I checked this was not the only CSS help forum.
I dont need your forum to promote my site, nor did I ever intend to "take away" your visitors.

Take this post out too if you want. I was just offering other means of tutorials and help.

The idea of the site checks is to post your css site and ask us to check for any CSS problems, not to pimp your site.

And it's certainly not the only CSS help forum, but it's the best.

Bravo - if I may make so bold and I've lurked on several of the other highly rated css (orientated) forums and lists for many a year. This is the only one I've actually joined. Our friend should try that attitude on css-discuss mailing list, for instance, and see just how soon he is 'gonged out'.

Our mods are far more tolerant of this sort of behaviour. Don't abuse their good nature and follow the rules - why don'tcha.

Just my 2p worth.

My Apologies

I guess there are no perfect people, only perfect intentions.
My apologies, I only had the motive of helping people learn CSS. I could care less about "pimping my site" You both dont have to be so cliche. Quit riding on Zeldmans wave.

I understand that each forum needs moderated for abusers of spam, nor did I feel you were wrong in deleteing my duplicate post. Sorry about that, I saw this category which I deemed more appropriate and did not get around to deleting the post.

I just got my site up, and wanted people to check it out, that is what I thought site check category was for.

Paul
Apologies aside and accepted, your right in stating that forums from time to time do need moderating and duplicate posts do get deleted as they are unnecessary and a moderator should move them if they end up in the wrong forum.
My original question was not meant to be rhetorical or cutting but designed to point out the manner in which the post came across and to give you the opportunity to perhaps re-phrase your post. you have to bear in mind that in general on forums you will find it policy not to allow promotion and advertising and both posts would have been deleted without any comment - consigned to oblivion. I deliberately did not do that as we attempt to take a low key approach and not be heavy handed, which I think in general we achieve .

If you had posted your last paragraph in response to my initially question we would have been happy to oblige and offer some constructive criticism and encouragement and you would have found some useful help along the way, indeed we would still be happy to help out with a site check so please re-post your question .

I would not want you to think that you were not welcome and if we have given you that impression then I offer my apologies and once again ask that you post afresh for a site check especially as the subject is to do with CSS and you will find many very knowledgeable people on that subject here and indeed plenty of newbies who may well benefit from well constructed tutorials.

Indeed. I must apologise as well - I seem to be a lot more offensive and sharp when it comes to dealing with people.

You didn't have to remove the link - in fact, I would like you to put it back so I could comment on your site from a CSS perspective.

(And who's Zeldman?)
