Why does my website work perfectly in MSIE 6.0 but not in NSN 7.1 or Opera 7.11?

http://www.palominoweb.com

More specifically, the table is all over on the right hand side and there are gaps caused from font sizes everywhere. It looks terrible.

Netscape and Opera don't like

Hi Damien,
There's a lot I could say about the site but for now I will just fix the most noticeable problem, we can work on removing the embeded tables later. Smile

The main problem seems to be that a table is pushed right out of alignment.
That table happened to be within a div that was following two floated divs and inside another table.

After the floated div's you need to clear the content div so that it starts on a new clean line in the document flow.

Just add clear:left; to the content class and the table shall come back into place.

Hope that helps

Netscape and Opera don't like

Thanks alot mate. It worked purrfectly. It looks fantastic in Opera. Smile Still having trouble in Netscape 7.1 though with other things to do with text pushing margins.

I really wouldn't mind some tips on removing those nested tables but I gave up after Opera and Netscape (again) not liking it and decided to settle with old-fashioned tables. Your comments are certainly welcome, even if they are harsh ones - they are best.

I only got as far as those two floating divs that you mentioned and those caused me alot of trouble aswell. Everything else is fine though. I am working on a fix to allow users to make my text larger, while preserving my precision layout so I can conform to WCAG. Btw, everything is XHTML 1.1. Laughing out loud

Cheers mate. Cool
