I made a site using divs for layout purposes. I used an external style sheet and gave the divs background images; this serves as the actual "look and feel" of the site. The problem is when I am viewing any of the pages everything looks normal unless I hit the refresh button, then the background image disappears until I hit a link that would take me to the same page. Intersting, huh. That was yesterday. Today I call up the page and the background doesn't show at all. Anyone have any suggestions?

Hm, can't see any problems in IE6 or FF. It may be a local cache problem.
I would remove the quotes from around the url paths in the image links and use the shorthand 'background' property which is better supported.

I couldn't see any background in IE or FF. In IE there was a telltale orange coloured 'home' in the white space to the left but not in FF.

Don't know what the background images are supposed to be like but are you sure the path to them is correct?

Currently: website/images/backgroundOptions*.gif where I could find no images.
But did find images in: wwsp/images/backgroundOptions*.gif

Ignore my last post, tired.

As Lorraine says I would think that you have got confused with your directories and paths you just need to work through the correct path to the images remembering that they are relative to the style sheet not the HTML.
