It's late, I'm off to watch Law & Order in 5 mins, but I think I've nearly got my site how I wanted it. It still uses a JS random quote, that's soon gonna be replaced with a PHP one.

(See if you can get the Edna K picture up - I refreshed loads and haven't seen it yet!)

( Apologies if some of the CSS is dodgy - I started this before I knew all about CSS!)

Worst. Episode. Ever. (Checks please!)

I remember this from ages ago , I like the layout very neat and clean
Good stuff! only two things detract from things; it's a shame that the overall body scroll is a little jerky in FF, on the background image in the content and yet is nice and smooth in IE and I would prefer no background hover on the professor in IE, find it sort of spoils the look of things , too blocky.
Now can you finish the rest of the pages please?

You can't pass of the CSS as dodgy you've had plenty of time to rewrite it Laughing out loud excuses excuses  [-X
Ah got Edna at the 9th attempt.

Hugo.

looks great. I kept trying to click the words Random Character. Maybe because of the implication of underlined text? maybe cause I'm slower than the other kids?

in ff the random character is clickable and gives you a 'url not valid' error. in IE, you can't click there.

that's all I saw. nice work!

will

Thanks for the comments, glad to know the layout is liked. I think the jerky scroll is either to do with the background image, or the krusty image.

(Have you got smooth scrolling on? Just a thought. . )

Haven't actually got to Edna yet. Ah well.

I could remove the underline from the Random Character script. AT the moment, if you don't have Akbar, I think I displayed the text in Times New Roman. I'm gonna use ALA's dynamic text replacement to replace it with the Akbar font.

As for the JS random quote - nearly got the PHP one working.

(Come on guys, 29 views and only two replies? If you seen the site, give me comments!)

EDIT - I'm pretty sure it's the krusty image.

Anyhoo - first page load, got Edna twice!

Now the Javascript is all gone - all PHP my good man! Check it out!

Ok, finally got the PHP counter working. I've done away with all the JS - now it's all HTML and PHP.

Check it out guys, I want constructive crits!

(Oh yeah, and any favourite simpsons lines, I'll put em in!)

I can't criticise, even constructively. It looks great and everything appears to work fine, random character, random quote etc......in FF1, IE6 and Opera 7.5.4 on the PC. The nav bar links dont work, but I guess they are not supposed to yet.

Glad to hear it works in IE - I test it occasionally, but really can't be bothered. Haven't tested at all in Opera, glad to hear it works.

Spent a long time getting the counter script to work! It's great!

What about the color scheme? Too much? Not enough?
