basically, i've got a banner at the top of my site with a grey border around that turns red when you hover over it, it's done in CSS, and anything that's not Safari or IE makes the border really really thick and makes it look like a drop-shadow or something, it's really odd.

any help?

Stupidly-thick borders!

Can we get a link / see the code?

You know you're a geek when you try to shoo a fly away from the monitor with your cursor.

Stupidly-thick borders!

Not sure how this would work in IE, as IE only understands the :hover attribute on links.

Could you possibly post the whole code? And HTML?
