Hi There

Can anyone reccomend a CMS to me that outputs valid XHTML/CSS.
It needs to be Freeware/GPL preferrably, or very cheap as I'm on a limited budget.
I don't really need many features, just the very basics. It needs to be PHP/MySql based, or even text file based (no database).
The only one that I've found so far that seems to fit this criteria is CMS made simple - http://www.cmsmadesimple.org/
Has any one else used this piece of software, or can you recommend any alternatives.

Thanks in advance.

Steve

Try xstandard... http://xstandard.com/

Is XHTML compliant and relatively inexpensive.

have you considered phpWebSite yet? It's GPL and xhtml compilant.

Thanks Guys, I shall take a look at both of them.
I am hoping to be able to use my own XHTML and CSS and just have the CMS to deal with the updating of the content, and to leave the rest of my design alone!
phpWebSite is looking promising.

In case you should really want to use it, I'm moderator at the support forum. So, if there's anything you'd like to know about it...

I would say Mambo Server (http://www.mamboserver.com/) its free and easy to use. I liked it and know a guy that lives by it.
