I redid my site:

http://www.lisa-jill.com/

I've checked in the latest Mozilla, Opera and IE on PC...

Can anyone with access to other browsers let me know how it looks?

Thanks!

-Lisa

Re: Redesigned site, need some checks....

I viewed your page in IE 5.1.6, Netscape 7.02, Opera 6.02, and Opera 5 for Mac OS 9.

I believe it looks about how you intended in IE and Netscape. I notice in Netscape, the font size appears larger in your left-hand box with your contact info, etc. If you're using relative sizing, it may be due to my settings. (I have IE meticulously set to my liking, I've adjusted Netscape a little, and I haven't changed the defaults in either Opera at all.)

In Opera 5, your blue creature doesn't appear at all. In Opera 6.02, some text overlaps it, even when I resize the window.

One thing that was obvious is that the chosen fonts in the left boxes don't render very well on the Mac, or at least my Mac, in any of the four browsers. I'm including screen shots so you can see what's up.

I've recently read in a couple of places that while serif fonts are better for print, sans-serif fonts are better for reading on screen. Since reading that suggestion, I've changed some of my own work and am more pleased with the result. I see this board uses sans-serif fonts.

Best of luck!

Redesigned site, need some checks....

thank you casey, your comments and screenshots were invaluable!

Its 1:30am but tomorrow i'll look into changing over to sans- fonts, I hadn't even considered the font types, honestly just never occurred to me

that horse is a background image so I expect text to scroll over it, tho in some positions it should be fully visible =) that may explain why it doesn't show in opera 5 as well; from recall it doesn't support background images, atleast i think i read that - i've read a lot these last few days hehe

thank you again for checking those out for me! really appreciate it
